Description

Rishikesh didn't earn the name "Yoga Capital of the World" from marketing — it's the place where modern yoga teacher training was formalised, and it's still where the most serious students go to actually earn it. This is a 24-28 day, residential 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS), based at an ashram on the banks of the Ganga.

Your days follow a traditional rhythm: early morning asana practice, pranayama, yoga philosophy and anatomy through the day, and meditation or satsang in the evening — six days a week, for the full duration of the course. This isn't a shortened "intensive" package.

It meets Yoga Alliance's full contact-hour requirement, with a lead trainer teaching the majority of your hours personally, so the certificate you leave with is one you can actually register and teach with internationally. Shared twin accommodation and all yogic (vegetarian, sattvic) meals are included. A private room upgrade is available if you'd prefer your own space to rest between sessions.

Yes — the school is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS), and graduates can register as an RYT-200 (Registered Yoga Teacher) to teach internationally.
What visa do I need?
A standard tourist e-Visa covers this course. Apply in advance at the official Indian government e-Visa portal, and consider the multi-entry option if you plan to travel in India before or after the course.
What's included, and what isn't?
Shared twin accommodation, all yogic meals, course materials and certification are included. Flights, travel insurance, personal spending money, and optional excursions or spa treatments are not — budget roughly €200-300/month for personal expenses on top of the course fee.
