Bali: Kuta, Seminyak, Ubud or Nusa Dua — Pick Your Bali
Bali's biggest accommodation mistake is booking based on the prettiest villa photo without checking which part of the island it's actually in. These areas are genuinely different islands in spirit.
Kuta & Seminyak
Beach clubs, nightlife, surf breaks, and the highest concentration of restaurants and bars. This is "loud Bali" — energetic, social, and built for travellers who want the island's party-and-beach reputation to be true.
Ubud
Rice terraces, wellness retreats, art markets and a noticeably slower pace. This is "quiet Bali" — the island's cultural and spiritual centre, and the natural home for anyone chasing the yoga-retreat version of a Bali trip.
Nusa Dua

Manali: Mall Road, Old Manali, or Out of Town
Mall Road & Central Manali
Maximum convenience — shops, restaurants, and easy access to local sightseeing. Can get crowded and noisy in peak season.
Old Manali
Across the river, quieter, with a more relaxed café culture and mountain views that Central Manali's busier stretch can't match. A short walk or quick ride gets you back into town when you want it.
Outside Town (Toward Solang or the Kullu side)
Properties here trade convenience for genuine mountain scenery — better for travellers whose priority is the view from their window, not walking-distance shopping.

Port Blair
Your arrival and departure point, with the main airport and ferry terminals. Most travellers spend one night here at each end of the trip rather than basing their whole holiday here — the real Andaman experience is on the islands beyond it.
Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep)
Home to some of the Andamans' best-known beaches and the main hub for scuba diving and snorkelling. This is where most of your trip should actually happen if reef time and beach days are the priority.
Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep)
Smaller, quieter, and noticeably less developed than Havelock — a good add-on for travellers who want at least one genuinely slow, low-key stretch in their island itinerary.
